Greater Dandenong – Compost Community Terms and Conditions 

Greater Dandenong residents receive one rebate per household per financial year equal to 30% off a selected range of already discounted composting and worm farm systems. 

Please use the discount code (in brackets of product title) at checkout to receive your discount. Discount applies to orders within the Municipality to products from this page only.

How it works

Terms and Conditions: 

  • Eligible Greater Dandenong residents can receive a compost rebate of up to 30% off the RRP.
  • Maximum rebate is $45 off a worm farm OR $37 off a compost bin OR $35 off a bokashi kit OR $63 off a tumbler, per household per financial year. 
  • If you exceed the rebate/discount by ordering multiple times with the discount code, subsequent orders will be rejected. You will receive an email advising you of the option of paying the gap or cancelling additional orders ($5 admin fee applies). 
  • Discounts are for eligible City of Greater Dandenong residents only
  • Delivery is within Greater Dandenong.
  • Click and collect is available from 1195 Dandenong-Hastings Rd Langwarrin. Do not arrive for collection until you have received your email advising you that colleciton is ready. 
  • You must enter your code (in brackets in product title) at checkout to get your council discount. 
  • Physical address must be provided.

Step 1: Are you ELIGIBLE?
You must be a resident of the City of Greater Dandenong (Greater Dandenong) to receive the Greater Dandenong compost subsidy. This means your billing/delivery address must be a physical, residential address within the City of Greater Dandenong municipality.

Step 4: Learn and Share
Learn!
Whilst we love helping you in person, there are three of us and thousands of you, so we love it when you use all the fantastic resources we have developed for you before calling or emailing us. 

Take advantage or all our useful resources, particularly under the "Learn" and "Toolbox" menus. The resources will guide you through your composting journey and answer all your frequently asked questions.  

​Participate in our webinars and Live Q&As to build your skills and knowledge.

Sharing is caring! Share Compost Community with your network. We are a family owned and run micro business and social enterprise, meaning all our profits are invested back into the local community and environmental programs. A simple share can really help us grow and keep doing 'more good', and help your networks do good too!
Step 5: Report back
In six months you will be asked to complete a feedback survey to help us calculate how much food and garden waste has been diverted from landfill. This is important to secure continued support and funding for the program, so please assist by participating.
