Knox residents receive subsidies off our already discounted prices AND free postage, offering significant savings.

Please use the code (found in brackets in the product name) at checkout to receive your discount. Discount applies to orders within the Knox Municipality to products from this page only. 

Conditions of Eligibility
  • One rebate is available per household per financial year.
  • Businesses are not eligible.
  • This rebate is only available to residents (ratepayers and renters) of Knox City. You can check your municipality at Know your council.
  • Knox schools and children’s centres are eligible an exclusive educational discount as described in the FAQs on this page and in the schools and kinders bundles below.  
  • A limited number of products are available and this offer will be unavailable once funds are exhausted.
  • Contact Compost Community for all warranty concerns and order queries. If purchasing worms, please read the Worm Policy.  Please read shipping terms and information before checking out.
  • Delivery is included in the product price, and is to Knox residential or school/ELC  addresses only.
  • ​The composting systems are not for re-sale.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order more than one compost system?
​Yes, however any subsequent items will are not eligible for the rebate in the same financial year. Only one subsidy/rebate applies no matter how many items you order.
​WHAT DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE TO SCHOOLS AND CHILDREN'S CENTRES?
Schools and children’s centres are entitled to a schools subsidy, per site, per year, from the school and kinders bundles on this page. 
  • Delivery address must be the school or child care centre. 
  • ​The composting systems are not for re-sale.
Approvals and timeframe
​Order approval takes around one week. You will receive email updates of your order's progress through the system.
​If your order is not approved for the Council discount, you will be contacted with your options to pay the gap or cancel the order. 
Please allow up to 10 days for delivery. Compost Community ships via courier so please specify delivery details in checkout.
Can I have my item/s shipped to my work (or other) address?
​We can deliver anywhere in metro Melbourne, however your order will not be approved without provision of your home address within Knox municipality. You can specify your Shipping Address under "Delivery Instructions" ​so that we can cross reference and verify your order without any delays. 
Can I pick my item/s up?
You are welcome to pick items up from Langwarrin. This will save you on postage for non-subsidised items. Select the Click and Collect option for pickup during checkout. 
​Reporting
​Annually we will send out a survey to check on how you are going and assess how much food and garden waste has been diverted from landfill by your new system. You can complete the survey here. 
Privacy
We value your privacy and will never spam you. We will only contact you in relation ot the Compost Community program and share your details with Council for the sole purpose of approving orders. See our Privacy Policy here.
