Knox Residents - Ordering

Knox residents receive subsidies off our already discounted prices AND free postage, offering significant savings.

Conditions of Eligibility

• One rebate is available per household. Residents that have already received a Compost Rebate are ineligible.
• This rebate is only available to residents (ratepayers and renters) of Knox.
• A limited number of products are available and this offer will be unavailable once funds are exhausted.

Can I order more than one compost system?

Yes, however any subsequent items will not receive free delivery and the additional discount off our already low prices.  To order additional items visit the public store. 

​Shipping
Compost Community ships in batches fortnightly and some items may even be hand delivered, so please leave delivery instructions or an alternative address and we can take a photo as proof of delivery. All orders are reviewed for eligibility so please allow at least 10-14 days for delivery. ​

• Signature on delivery: We will do this by default if there are no delivery instructions. However our Courier (Sendle) may deliver to your local newsagent if you are not home. We can send by Australia Post if you specify this in delivery notes. 
• Safe drop: If you specify a location for safe drop we are happy to leave it without a signature. Please note that our Courier and Australia Post will not honour insurance on safe drop, as thefts occasionally do occur.   

Can I have my item/s shipped to my work (or other) address?
Yes, we can deliver anywhere in metro Melbourne. Please ensure that you put your home address in "Billing Address" and specify Shipping Address so that we can cross reference and verify your order without any delays. 

Can I pick my item/s up?
You are also welcome to pick items up from Langwarrin. This will save you on postage for non-subsidised items. Select the Click and Collect option for pickup or use the code COLLECT at checkout.

The Green Cone is a composting digestion system designed to aerobically decompose cooked and uncooked food waste (including meat, fish, bones, dairy products, vegetables and fruit).

You need to dig a large hole to ensure the basket is below the soil level. If your soil is too hard to dig, consider placing it in a raised garden bed then fill the soil in around it.
